October 22, 2019, Ellicottville, NY – North Park Innovations Group, Inc., a woman-owned, small business in Ellicottville, NY, today announced it received a clean energy training award from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) to help address the increasing demand for skilled workers in the state’s rapidly growing clean energy economy.
Selected through a competitive selection process for a two-year contract, this $250,000 in cost-sharing funding will enable North Park to develop curriculum and high-tech products, and train thousands of current and future technicians in New York State’s Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) industry. They will learn to install and use cutting-edge devices with integrated intelligent software and reporting, improving energy efficiency in HVAC systems all across the state.

In addition to developing training and systems to complement their products in the IoT of HVAC, North Park Innovations is working with the State University of New York at Buffalo to build machine learning and artificial intelligence into the power of their solutions.
